What is an Inman Aligner™?

The Inman Aligner™ is a simple, removable appliance used to align the front teeth quickly and safely. It’s ideal as a stand-alone treatmentor to prealign teeth prior to further cosmetic options such as bonding or minimal veneers.

How long is the treatment with the Inman Aligner™?

Most cases are completed within 6-18 weeks. Your dentist will give you a realistic guide of what to expect. For suitable cases, the Inman Aligner™ is usually much faster than alternative orthodontic techniques.

How does it work?

The Inman Aligner™ has nickel-titanium coil springs that power two aligner bows that gently oppose each other, guiding the teeth into their new position.

These gentle forces are active over a very large range of movement, which is why the InmanAligner™ works so quickly. The image below shows the squeeze effect of the two aligner bows on the front teeth. The inner bow pushes forwards,while the outer bow pulls back on the front teeth.

What’s involved in treatment with the Inman Aligner™?

• Impressions are needed so that the lab can fabricate your custom made Inman Aligner™.
• Initial fitting of the Aligner.
• Wear the Aligner 16-20 hours a day.
• Regular Inman checks every 2-3 weeks.

As with other orthodontic treatment, after treatment is completed with the Inman Aligner™, retention is recommended for life to prevent relapse.

What is Powerprox 6 month Braces?

Powerprox 6 month braces is a rapid and aesthetic orthodontic system that focuses mainly on the front six teeth. The speed and less visible appearance of 6 month braces make it a highly appealing option that can fit anyone’s lifestyle.

How does it work?

Powerprox 6 month braces combines the most successful tried and tested techniques with cutting edge materials. The aesthetic brackets are placed on to the teeth, and the highly elastic Nickel-Titanium wires gently move the teeth into the desired position. Your dentist will need to see you every four weeks to make adjustments.

How long will it take?

In most cases, Powerprox 6 Month Braces can align your teeth within 6 months, although some cases are even quicker and some take longer depending on the individual patient and the degree of crowding present.

Is it visible?

With the Powerprox 6 Month Brace System you can chose to have clear brackets and tooth coloured wires,making the treatment barely visible.

Will it hurt?

Powerprox 6 Month Braces applies a gentle pressure to the teeth that creates far less discomfort than other alternative orthodontic treatments

Clear aligners

Clear orthodontic aligners can straighten a dental patient’s teeth without the wires and brackets of traditional braces. A number of orthodontic problems can be treated using clear aligners, including crooked teeth, twisted teeth,overbites and gapped teeth. In most cases, the aligners can straighten teeth in anywhere from 6 to 18 months.

Unlike traditional braces, the trays can be removed for brushing, flossing, and eating. Because the trays are clear, patients can undergo this type of orthodontic treatment without the usual discomfort associated with regular braces. Clear aligners are great for anyone who may feel self-conscious during orthodontic treatment.

Made from clear plastic, they remain invisible within the mouth during the rapid treatment time. Straightening your teeth the clear way.

Invisalign is an alternative to wire braces that uses transparent, incremental aligners to guide teeth into a more aligned position. The Invisalign treatment process involves taking a mold of the patient’s teeth that is scanned in order to create a computerized model. Using the dentists treatment plan, the computer model creates stages between the current and desired teeth positions that are used to create molds for individual aligners. Your dentist will advise you when to change your aligner to the next stage.

Once the treatment has begun we will see you every 6-8 weeks to monitor progress and provide you with new aligners and on completion of treatment we will give you a retainer to wear maintain your new smile.
